Fertility testing

Our experienced doctors will help find the causes of infertility and determine the necessary additional tests and analyses.

Fertility testing

Fertility is the ability to have offspring. Female and male fertility depend on age, genetic factors, lifestyles and the surrounding environment. Many people want to start a family and have children at some point in their lives. For women to be better informed about their fertility rates, we recommend regular visits to the gynaecologist. If there are any deviations from normal sperm quality parameters, it is recommended to consult a male fertility doctor (andrologist). For men, a quick overview of their fertility is provided by a semen analysis.

Female fertility

A woman’s fertility testing includes comprehensive consultation with a gynaecologist and a gynaecological examination. An ultrasound and various analyses can be used to assess a woman’s egg reserve. If, for any reason, the woman has not been able to get pregnant, the doctor will help determine the reasons for infertility and recommend the necessary additional tests.

How is testing performed?

  • Additional testing if necessary (e.g. fallopian tube permeability testing)

One of the main factors influencing a woman’s fertility is the number and quality of eggs in the ovaries, i.e. the ovarian reserve. Fertility testing is easy to perform.

The primary test for male fertility is semen analysis which allows the possibility to assess the count, motility and morphology. If there are any deviations in the sperm quality parameters, it is recommended to consult a male fertility doctor (andrologist). If necessary, the andrologist will determine recommended additional tests and examinations.
