More and more families are in need of donor egg cells to have a baby. Your chance to help them. The Next Fertility Nordic clinic has an active gamete donation programme, which provides egg donors with free comprehensive health checks and feedback on their fertility.
Who is a suitable egg donor?
We welcome mentally and physically healthy women aged 20-31 to become egg donors. The egg donor must have a healthy lifestyle and no family history of hereditary diseases. The donor will undergo a medical check-up, testing for sexually transmitted diseases and genetic testing. If necessary, the donor will receive a free consultation with a genetic counsellor.
How does egg donation work?
An egg donor will need to make several visits to the clinic to see a gynaecologist and have tests carried out. In order to donate eggs, a woman undergoes ovarian stimulation, which involves injections of medication for 10-14 days.
Ovarian stimulation allows the oocytes, which start in one month, to mature to maturity (in the natural menstrual cycle, one dominant oocyte develops and the others die). The eggs are retrieved during a procedure lasting 15-30 minutes, during which anaesthesia is used. After the procedure, the woman stays in the clinic for a few hours to recover.

As becoming a donor requires several visits to the clinic, we prefer local donors.
Egg donation is anonymous in Estonia.
The woman/couple wishing to have a child will only be informed about the donor’s general biological and social data: nationality, skin colour, education, marital status, presence of children, height, build, hair and eye colour.
There is a compensation for egg cell donation.
The compensation for a single donation is €850. Travel expenses to the clinic will be reimbursed if necessary.
